    Notice is provided by the Township Board of Supervisors that bids will be received by Whitpain Township for the following:2026 Milling and Paving of Various Township Roads Contract Number: 2026-001The contract involves the following:Base Bid Items 1. 22,628 square yards of 1-1/2” Deep Full Width Milling 2. 2,040 Tons of 1-1/2” 9.5MM Compacted Asphalt Wearing Course 3. 3,993 lineal feet of Double Yellow Line Painting 4. 8,086 lineal feet of Single White Line Painting 5. 1 lump sum of Crosswalks, Stop Bars, Arrows & Legends Pavement MarkingsUnit Price Add Alternates (As needed and As directed Only): 1. 3,500 square yards of Additional Milling at 4” Depth for Base Repairs at Township Specified Locations 2. 770 Tons of Base Repairs 19MM Compacted Asphalt 4” Depth at Township Specified LocationsSealed proposals shall be submitted online via the PennBid Bonfire Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).Proposals will be received until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, Monday, July 27, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section (Exhibit “C”) of the Bid Document.A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a “Maintenance Bond” shall be required in the amount of 25% of the contract price.Specifications may be obtained electronically, at no cost, on the PennBid Bonfire website. Please note that vendors who are awarded contracts are assessed by PennBid amodest, capped fee of 1/3 of 1% of the contract value for fixed fee contracts, and 1/6 of 1% of the contract value for term contracts. There is a minimum award fee of $150 and is capped at $6,000 (+ tax). Bidders who are not awarded a contract, pay nothing.Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Questions” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day Monday, July 20, 2026.A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the Whitpain Township Public Works Building Meeting Room located at 960 Wentz Road Blue Bell, PA 19422 on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
