All Bids will be virtually released at 2:00 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made.
Project description:
This project includes replacement of two existing water service horizontal split case centrifugal pumps and motors with two vertical in-line centrifugal pumps and motors at the Wills Creek Water Pump Station in Cumberland, MD. Project also includes replacement of a small communication tower structure at the facility.
A "Mandatory PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on 5/12/2026 at the Engineering Conference Room, Public Safety Building, 57 N. Liberty Street, Cumberland, MD.
A Proposal Guaranty (Bond or Certified Check) in the amount of at least 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.
The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, for all construction contracts in excess of $100,000, at the time the contract is executed.
The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
