    The purpose of this Pre-Solicitation Notice is to communicate the intent to sole source the procurement of subscription services to obtain aggregated current month chicken egg and select seafood price data to the company identified below under the authority FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."

    THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR POTENTIAL SOURCES OR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.

    The primary goal of this acquisition is to obtain monthly price data from a vendor that measures current month prices for chicken eggs and select seafood.

    1. The current month price for chicken eggs should be a weighted average price for the following six regions of the United States:
      1. Northeast (ME, MA, NH, VT, RI, CT, NY, PA, MD, DE, NJ)
      2. Midwest (ND, SD, NE, IA, IL, MN, WI, IN, OH, KY, WV, MI)
      3. Southeast (VA, NC, GA, FL, TN, AL, GA, MS)
      4. South Central (MO, AR, LA, TX, OK, KS, CO, NM, AZ, UT)
      5. Northwest (WA, OR, WY, MT, ID)
      6. California
    2. For each region above, each weighted average price should be broken out by the following sizes or uses
      1. Jumbo
      2. Extra large
      3. Large
      4. Medium
      5. Small
      6. Breaker stock
    3. The weighted average price should be calculated using prices from egg processors for chicken eggs sold and delivered to retailers, wholesalers, distributors, exporters, importers, traders, and brokers and should be weighted based on the volume of all wholesale transactions covering all United States domestic channels
    4. The weighted average price should be reported as $/dozen eggs and calculated over the first fourteen days of the month
    5. The current month price for tuna should be a weighted average by volume of all wholesale transactions covering all United States domestic channels. The weighted average price should be reported as $/pound on a less-than-truckload basis and calculated over the first fourteen days of the month
    6. The current month price for shrimp should be a weighted average by volume of all wholesale transactions covering United States caught (primarily in the Gulf of Mexico) shrimp sold through domestic channels. The weighted average price should be reported as $/pound on a less-than-truckload, headless, shell on (HSLO) basis and calculated over the first fourteen days of the month
    7. The current month price for crabs should be a weighted average by volume of all wholesale transactions covering all United States domestic channels. The weighted average price should be reported as $/pound on a less-than-truckload basis and calculated over the first fourteen days of the month
    8. The current month price for lobster should be a weighted average by volume of all wholesale transactions covering all United States domestic channels for live lobster. The weighted average price should be reported as $/pound on a less-than-truckload basis and calculated over the first fourteen days of the month
    9. The current month price for clams, oysters, sea scallops, mussels should be a weighted average by volume of all wholesale transactions covering all United States domestic channels. The weighted average price should be reported as $/count or $/pound on a less-than-truckload basis and calculated over the first fourteen days of the month
