80--TREATED WOOD POLES

The Southwestern Power Administration (SWPA), Department of Energy, is issuing this sources sought notice as part of a market research effort to identify companies with the capabilities to support an upcoming requirement for Treated Wood Poles delivered to Jonesboro, AR, Gore, OK, and Springfield, MO. For additional details regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached Draft Statement of Work (SOW).
Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), or procured on a sole source basis. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing sources sought responses but the responses will be used to inform the government as to the best means of procuring this requirement.

This requirement is for class 2 and class 3 treated wood poles in various sizes to be delivered to Jonesboro, AR, Gore, OK, and Springfield, MO. Estimated need below:
Jonesboro, AR:
• 20 EA CLASS 2 - 65 FT
• 20 EA CLASS 2 - 70 FT
• 20 EA CLASS 2 - 75 FT

Gore, OK:
• 20 EA CLASS 3 - 65 FT
• 20 EA CLASS 3 - 70 FT
• 15 EA CLASS 3 - 75 FT
• 3 EA CLASS 3 - 85 FT
• 3 EA CLASS 2 - 80 FT
• 3 EA CLASS 2 - 85 FT
• 3 EA CLASS 2 - 90 FT

Springfield, MO:
• 20 EA CLASS 2 - 55 FT
• 20 EA CLASS 2 - 70 FT
• 20 EA CLASS 2 - 75 FT

Eligibility:
The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 321114 – Wood Preservation with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The product service code is 8030 –
preservative and sealing compounds. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond.
