PROCUREMENT TITLE: ECLIPES SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE, REPAIRS, AND SUPPORT: FOR THE VARIAN TRUEBEAM LINEAR ACCELERATOR

INTENT TO AWARD: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 01, Jamaica Plain VA Medical Center, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130-4817, intends to award one (1) Contract to the OEM named VARIAN MEDICAL SYSTEMS, INC, for Eclipse Software Maintenance, Repairs, And Support: For The Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerator Product.

BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION: This requirement is for Eclipse software maintenance, repairs, and support for the Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerator. The eclipse software is proprietary software that optimizes the radiotherapy treatment plan based on a physician’s dose instructions and information about the size, shape, and location of a tumor to be treated. It’s used in conjunction with the VA-owned Varian Truebeam linear accelerator. The procurement is for a Base Year plus four Option Years, see attached SOW for full details and performance periods.

AUTHORITY: The authority for this procurement will be via FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
