    SPECIAL NOTICE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. St., Detroit, Michigan 48201, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for MAKO Robotic System Maintenance. NAICS Code 811210, size standard $34 Million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Howmedica Osteonics Corp dba Stryker Orthopaedics. (325 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, NJ 07430), for this procurement due to the specialized nature of this procurement. The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, equipment, materials, supervision, necessary to service the Boiler Maintenance Services located at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan, for the period of July 01, 2025 June 30, 2026, in strict accordance with the statement of work, all schedules, and terms and conditions of the resultant contract. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 8:00am Eastern on 5/14/25.
