Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office 17 (NCO-17), intends to conduct a sole source award action with Natus Medical Incorporated for the following services: NCO-17 intends to modify Purchase Order 36C25725P0117 to extend the terms of the contract for an additional four years; Option Year 1 period of performance is 01/01/2026 12/31/2026. Option Year 4 period of performance 01/01/2029 12/31/2029. The following services are to be provided in accordance with the contract s Statement of Work: Required service for repairs, preventative maintenance, labor, travel, technical support, and perform preventive maintenance for all audiology devices at Thomas E Creek Amarillo VA Healthcare System and Lubbock VA Clinic. The proposed modification is needed due to an unsuccessful solicitation. Natus Medical Incorporated has provided a proprietary letter stating they are the manufacturer and sole provider of Otometrics brand of audiological instrumentation. Natus Hearing and Balance/Sensory is the sole source provider for sales, service, calibration, training, and warranty on the entire Natus/Otometrics product line. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. A contract will not be awarded based on an offer received in response to this notice. If no affirmative written response is received within 7 business days from the publication of this notice, the proposed modification request will be forwarded to Natus Medical Incorporated without any further notice. DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 17 intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to Natus Medical Incorporated, for repairs, preventative maintenance, labor, travel, technical support, and perform preventive maintenance for all audiology devices at Thomas E Creek Amarillo VA Healthcare System and Lubbock VA Clinic. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability in response to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811210 with a small business size standard of $34 million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 10:00 A.M., CST, on September 17th, 2025, to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
