Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to make a sole source award to TransLogic Corporation dba Swisslog Healthcare, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source. Market research was conducted and determined that TransLogic Corp., is the only vendor capable of providing supplies and services necessary to meet the requirements. The proposed procurement is to support the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center s Facilities Management Service which requires upgrade of a complex pneumatic tube delivery system that is aged and needing updating of 10 blower air shifters, 28 vacuum bypass valves, 89 send/receive stations, and 70 distributions stations. The TransLogic Pneumatic Tube System is a type of automated material transport system used primarily in healthcare facilities, including hospitals and clinics. This system utilizes a network of tubes and carriers propelled by compressed air to quickly and efficiently transport medical items such as lab specimens, medications, documents, and other small items between different locations within the facility. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. This is strictly for market research purposes. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide supplies/services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to April 16, 2025, at 4:30 PM EST. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
