It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this RFI: 1. Title: Equipment Calibration Tests 36C25626Q0033 2. Purpose: The purpose of this RFI is to identify potential sources which will aid in defining the procurement strategy (e.g., set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation the VA intends on issuing shortly for the following: See draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) The anticipated Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 811210 is $34,000,000. 3. Opportunity/Market Pricing: The MEDVAMC is seeking information from potential vendors on their ability to provide the required service. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. Small Business Concerns are encouraged to provide responses to this RFI in order to assist the MEDVAMC in determining potential levels of competition and general market pricing available in the industry. Therefore, vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing along with their responses to the above. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the forthcoming solicitation. Draft STATEMENT OF WORK INTRODUCTION This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements and responsibilities for performing annual calibrations on biomedical test equipment. The purpose of this calibration is to ensure that all biomedical equipment operates accurately and reliably to support the healthcare services provided by the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall perform calibration services for the biomedical test equipment listed in Appendix A. The calibration process must comply with industry standards and manufacturer's recommendations. OJECTIVES: To ensure all biomedical test equipment is calibrated and functioning within specified parameters. To minimize downtime and ensure that equipment is available for use. To maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Contractor Requirements: The contractor must be ISO 17025 accredited for calibration services. The contractor must have at least five years of experience in calibrating biomedical equipment. The contractor must provide evidence of technician qualifications and training. Tasks and Deliverables: Pre-Calibration Inspection Perform a visual and functional inspection of each piece of equipment to identify any obvious defects or issues before calibration. Calibration Process Calibrate each piece of biomedical test equipment according to the manufacturer s specifications and industry standards. Use traceable references and standards to perform calibrations. Documentation Provide a detailed calibration report for each piece of equipment, including pre- and post-calibration readings, calibration dates, and next due dates. Affix calibration stickers to each piece of equipment. Post- Calibration Verification Perform functional checks to ensure that calibrated equipment is operatable within specified parameters. Resolve any issues identified during the verification process. Place of Performance Calibrations will be performed on-site at: Michael E. Debakey VA medical Center 2002 Holcombe Blvd Houston, TX 77030 In cases where on-site calibration is not feasible, equipment may be shipped to the contractor s accredited calibration lab. Schedule Calibrations shall be completed annually. The initial calibration services shall commence within 30 days of the contract award. Subsequent calibrations shall be scheduled to occur at the same time each year. Services shall be performed during Biomed shop hours, 6:00 a.m. CT through 11:59 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
