NOI TO SOLE SOURCE- GETINGE USA SALES PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF STERILIZATION CENTRAL VACUUM EQUIPMENT IN BIOSAFETY LABS 1,2,3 AND 4

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) Research & Development (R&D) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, sole source contract on behalf of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) to Getinge USA Sales, LLC located in 45 Barbour Pond Drive Wayne, NJ 07470-2035 , under the authority as prescribed in FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is for Preventative Maintenance and Repair of Sterilization Central Vacuum Equipment in Biosafety Labs (BSL) 1,2,3 and 4 to maintain and repair critical sterilization equipment, cage and glassware washing equipment, tunnel washers, and water treatment systems at USAMRIID.

Getinge USA Sales, LLC is the sole proponent of gravity steam sterilization autoclaves, which meet the requirements of DoD 6055.18 as well as future Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), mandatory safety protocol directives required to satisfy the Government’s requirement. Given the information above, Getinge USA Sales, LLC is the only vendor capable of providing the services needed to meet the government’s needs.

This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Proposals (RFP) or request for quotations (RFQ) and no solicitation document exists for the requirement; however, if a vendor challenges the basis for this requirement, please submit a capability statement that includes sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide these services.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response.  A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source procurement.
