NOTICE OF ATTEND TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE SERVICE OF ANNUAL MAINTENANCE AND CALIBRATION FOR THE GENEXPERT COVID TESTER SYSTEMS FOR THE GOVERNMENT-OWNED GENEXPERT COVID TESTER SYSTEMS

NOTICE OF INTENT: The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch Medical Readiness Contracting Office–West (MRCO-West) MEDCOM, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to CEPHEID. 904, East Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 for service of annual maintenance and calibration for the GeneXpert Covid Tester Systems for the Government-owned Genexpert Covid Tester Systems for the Department of Pathology, Microbiology Department at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital (GLWACH), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, an other than small business , under authority of Title 41 U.S.C. §1901(e)(2) as implemented in FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. Market Research results indicate that there is only one (1) vendor who can fully satisfy this requirement. CEPHEID is the only vendor that can fully support the full service of annual maintenance and calibration for the GeneXpert Covid Tester Systems for the Government-owned Genexpert Covid Tester Systems.

Period of Performance will start on 1 October 2025.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to provide Full-service maintenance agreement for Government. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.
