NOTICE OF INTENT: SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO CADWELL LABORATORIES INC

The Defense Health Agency (DHA), Healthcare Contracting Division Northeast (HCD-NE), on behalf Department of Rehabilitation located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, 8901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD, 20889 under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency Requirements) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, Sole Source Purchase Order to Cadwell Laboratories, Inc.

The Department of Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) current has two (2) Cadwell Sierra Summit EMGs system on hand and request to furnish one (1) additional Sierra Summit EMG System available for urgent/emergent inpatient evaluations while the current two (2) Cadwell Sierra Summit EMGs for outpatient wouldn’t be interrupted.

The Government intends to award a new Purchase Order to Cadwell Laboratories, Inc., for one (1) Sierra Summit EMG System required by Department of Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC).

Cadwell Laboratories, Inc (CAGE: 5XLB7) 909 N Kellogg St , Kennewick, Washington, 99336-7669 is the authorized seller of the Sierra Summit EMG System.  The total cost for the Purchase Order is estimated at $54,501.38.  The associated NAICS code applicable to this requirement is 334510, Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing.

This notice of intent to award a sole source Purchase Order is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no Request for Quote (RFQ) or Solicitation available for competition. Phone calls will not be accepted.  This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider responses to this notice within five (5) days of this posting. Interested parties, may express their interest, and provide a capabilities statement NLT September 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST. The point of contact for this action is Phong Q.
