NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this notice is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) set forth in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Supervisor of Shipbuilding Overhaul & Repair, Groton, CT (SSGR) intends to award a firm fixed price contract to ESL Power System, Inc., 2800 Palisades Drive, Corona, CA 92880, for the Manufacture of quantity (1) Manual Bus Transfer (MBT) Unit. All other responsible sources may submit a capability statement clearly demonstrating the ability to manufacture the requested supply in accordance with the specification, before 6:00AM EST 05JAN26, which may be considered by the Agency for a future award. Responses to this notice shall be submitted to Stephanie Neale at Stephanie.L.Neale.civ@us.navy.mil and Andrea Cook at Andrea.A.Cook.civ@us.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This special notice is being issued for informational purposes only. The Justification & Approval for sole source is attached.
