Closed Solicitation · DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
AI Summary
The Department of Energy is soliciting proposals for directional couplers designed to sustain small differential air pressure, ensuring safety around RF distribution lines. Proposals must meet specifications outlined in RFP 375414RLP and include completed documents: SARC and PUR466. Additional details regarding operational requirements and termination options are provided in the update.
Please provide proposal that meets specifications in document RFP 375414RLP and provide completed documents: SARC and PUR466.
10/31/2025 UPDATE:
Based on questions received, Fermilab would like to provide additional information regarding this RFP:
Fermilab needs couplers to sustain small differential air pressure. This will ensure that there are acceptable levels of non-ionizing radiation around the RF distribution lines after constructed or modified.
Fermilab expects the RF distribution to run fully reflected from the cavity. Cross talk between ports during operation must be limited for diagnostic purposes.
Having one 18” long coupling port on each wall would be acceptable.
Fermilab has found that the termination is the most delicate part of the directional coupler. Previous replacements have occurred in the past. Having an external termination makes repair process easier. An acceptable option would be an internal termination that could be replaced in house, in the event of failure.
