Brief Description: 60th Medical Group (60 MDG) David Grant Medical Center (DGMC) requires a contracted service to continue critical preventive maintenance, to include intervening service calls, for Steris Brand government owned equipment. Preventative maintenance, including intervening service calls for the government owned equipment in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
b. Procedures for Award: The Government intends to award a sole source contract directly to the incumbent, Steris Corporation. This action is taken to ensure the continuation of critical preventive maintenance, to include intervening service calls, for government owned equipment located at the 60 MDG, DGMC, Travis AFB, CA. The legal authority for this non-competitive action is cited as an unusual and compelling urgency under 10 U.S. Code § 3204(a)(2). The critical need arises from the impending expiration of the current contract (FA442721C0007) on 31 March 2026, coupled with an unforeseen delay in DGMC’s strategic plan to transition these services to the mobile sterile processing department (SPD).
