    Description

The County of Riverside Purchasing and Fleet Department, on behalf of the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide an Artificial Intelligence (AI)–powered scheduling solution to enhance operational efficiency across DPSS service areas. The solution will support the scheduling and rescheduling of appointments for both the Adult Services Division (ASD), including In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority (IHSS-PA), and the Children and Family Services (CFS). This initiative is intended to modernize scheduling capabilities by leveraging AI technologies to improve appointment coordination, streamline staff assignments, enable staff to focus more time on direct service delivery, and support consistent and timely service delivery. Program Objectives The objective of this project is to implement an AI-powered scheduling system that modernizes appointment processes across DPSS’s Adult Services including In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority (IHSS-PA), and Children and Family Services (CFS). The solution will automate scheduling tasks to reduce administrative workload, improve timeliness, and deliver consistent, reliable service to children, families, and adults. The platform must provide proactive scheduling, automated reminders, and text-based communication that includes worker details and simple rescheduling options, reducing missed visits, improving engagement, and lessening the burden on clients. Zip code–based routing, geo-tracking, and app-based check-ins will enhance travel efficiency, strengthen oversight, and support worker safety. The system should remain flexible so that programs with specialized requirement can access the features needed, ensuring that each division’s unique needs are met without unnecessary complexity. The solution must be user-friendly, secure, scalable, and capable of supporting long-term deployment across all DPSS divisions, including Finance and Administrative Services.
