    Description

    The work consists of widening the roadway on the west side of the street, paving, sidewalks, cross gutter and spandrels, curbs and gutters, walls, driveway approaches, drainage improvements, catch basin and storm drain improvements, WQMP BMP improvements, water line improvements, hardscape, landscaping and irrigation improvements, utility improvements, street light improvements, signage, striping, pavement markings, replacement of traffic detection devices, and all appurtenant work thereto necessary for the proper construction of the proposed improvements in accordance with the Project’s Plans and Specifications.

    This project is covered “Project Work” as defined in the Second Amended and Restated Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) the City entered into with the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council and the Signatory Craft Councils and Local Unions. Therefore, the awarded Contractor and its subcontractors of all tiers shall agree to be party to and bound by the CWA by signing a Letter of Assent (a form attached to the CWA as Attachment A). The CWA will be incorporated by reference in the Construction Contract and can be accessed at the City’s website at: http://anaheim.net/229/Public-Works

    10% bid bond is required. Required License Classifications: Prime contractor: General Engineering (A), Class C-10 for traffic signal subcontractors and for street light subcontractors, Class C-34 or A for water work  subcontractors, and electrical subcontractors shall be from the City of Anaheim Master Agreement Electrical  Contractors Transmission and Distribution 2021-2026 List for subcontractors performing the APU electrical pullbox relocation. DIR Registration is required for prime and subcontractors.

    For the purposes of bid evaluations and fairness to all bidders, the City will evaluate the Total Base Bid Proposal. The lowest responsive responsible Base Bid bidder will be selected. Work under the Alternative Bid (if any) may be authorized, if it is determined at the sole discretion of the City, that work under the Alternative Bid is within the City's available budget. All bidders shall further understand that the City reserves the right to reject all bids. All Bids shall be in accordance with the "Invitation to Bidders" and "Instructions to Bidders".

    No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a Public Works project(submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for Public Work on a Public Works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
