City of Nordheim Roadway and Drainage Improvements

The City of Nordheim will receive bids for the Roadway and Drainage Improvements until 10:00 AM on April 8^th, 2026 at the office of City of Nordheim, City Hall, 105 1^st Ave, Nordheim, Tx 78141. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10 am on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 at said office. Bids are invited for the Roadway and Drainage Improvement Project as described in the plans and specifications, including the scarifying and regrading of 4^th street, and drainage ditch improvements of W 2^nd street, 3^rd Ave, Chaparral Street, and W 5^th Ave. Bid/Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, may be obtained from CIVCAST at www.civcastusa.com. These may be viewed and downloaded free of charge (with options to purchase hard copies). The documents are also available at Intrepid Surveying & Engineering Co., 109 Dilworth Plaza (P.O. Box 1209), Poth, Texas 78147. 830-393-8833. Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents may be obtained by contacting Intrepid Surveying & Engineering Co. via email at masonk@intrepidtx.com. Electronic copies may be obtained at no charge; hard copies may be obtained by payment of a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 for each set. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Nordheim may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.

The successful bidder may not discriminate against its employees or applicants for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual identity, gender identity or national origin. The City of Nordheim reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any minor informalities in the bid documents.

The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bids may be held by the City of Nordheim for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. All qualified applicants shall receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Bidders will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246, as amended by Executive Order 11375, and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations 41 CFR Part 60. The successful Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds on the forms furnished with the Proposal, in the amount of 100% of the total Contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The surety company must have a minimum Best Kev Rating of “B’’, or the surety company must be eligible to participate in the surely bond guarantee program of the Small Business Administration and must be an approved surety listed in the current U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570, and must meet all of the related rules and regulations of the Treasury Department. The surety company and the agency or agent issuing the Payment and Performance Bonds must be authorized to issue and sign Payment and Performance Bonds in Texas in an amount equal to or greater than the total Contract price. All contractor/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. The project does not have a HUB goal requirement; however, HUB participation is encouraged.
