The City of Hayward and Union Pacific Railroad Company entered into a Public Highway At-Grade Crossing Agreement governing the roadway crossing at Baumberg Avenue located at Mile Post 23.1 on the Coast Subdivision in Hayward, Alameda County, California. The agreement establishes the terms and conditions under which the City may perform roadway improvements within and adjacent to the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way at the Baumberg Avenue railroad crossing.

The railroad crossing at Baumberg Avenue serves as a key roadway connection across the Union Pacific rail corridor and is subject to operational and safety requirements associated with railroad infrastructure. Because the roadway crosses active railroad tracks, any improvements within the crossing area require coordination with Union Pacific Railroad and must comply with railroad engineering standards, safety procedures, and access requirements.
