    REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP No. PW-S37860-05X The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Design services in connection with the following: NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS Environmental Facilities On-Call Design The Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms for on-call design services in connection with the County’s environmental facilities. Such services shall encompass the evaluation, troubleshooting, and recommendation of suggested corrective measures (including design and related services) to address an assortment of problems & issues that may be encountered in any of the County’s environmental facilities. Upon County approval of the Firm’s recommendations, the successful proposer agrees to perform all the usual and necessary design services in connection with the preparation of detailed contract drawings, specifications and estimates suitable for public bidding. Sealed Technical and Cost Proposals regarding this project are due on or before 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The proposer shall be required to comply with a good faith effort M/WBE goal and good faith effort minimum of 6% SDVOB goal for this project and with the requirements of Local Laws No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN – In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No. 14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal.
