    Description

    The Killeen Independent School District (KISD) is soliciting proposals for fence installation and replacement services to be performed throughout the District on an as-needed basis. This solicitation includes both the installation of new fencing and the replacement of existing fencing at various facilities. New fence installation may be black vinyl coated or galvanized aluminum fencing in accordance with District standards. Replacement or repair of existing fencing, which must be completed using materials and colors that match the existing installation. This RFP will also include the installation and repairs of electric gates and components. Linear dimensions for fencing and gating will be incumbent upon the vendor to conduct site visits to verify measurements for each project. Vendor will be responsible for all aspects of the project which may involve the repair, installation, or removal of fencing/gating, required electrical, and the installation of access controls with a product which is compatible with or equivalent to the district's existing system. Due to ongoing growth within the District, it is not possible to estimate the number of locations that may require service during the contract term. Individual projects will be assigned through work orders, and each project must be completed within forty-five (45) days of the work order's release. A one (1) year warranty is required on all products and installations. The District reserves the right to select one or multiple vendors that offers the best value to the District. This is a line item bid- pricing must be entered on the "Line Item" section of the RFP. This contract will be effective on or around October 8, 2025 through October 7, 2026 and may be renewed for four (4) additional years in one (1) year increments, based upon availability of funding and providing that both parties are in agreement. The District, through its duly authorized constituted officials, reserves the right to accept any offer in its entirety or in part, any offer deemed most advantageous to the Killeen Independent School District and to waive any formalities in bidding. Contact between vendors and District personnel during the proposal process or evaluation process is prohibited. Any attempt by vendors during the proposal process to contact District personnel may result in disqualification. All communication shall go through the Purchasing Office during this process. All questions received and the corresponding answers will be distributed to all bidders via the electronic bid system. No verbal responses will be provided. The deadline for questions about this proposal is stated in the Event Details and the District will not respond to questions after this time and date. The vendors will be responsible for checking the website for any posted Q&A.
