PUBLIC NOTICESacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) announces that it will seek bids for the work entitled:HVAC REPLACEMENT AT TRACTION POWER SUBSTATIONSBids must be submitted through SacRT’s PlanetBids Vendor Portal no later than 2:00 p.m. on MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2026 at which time bids will be publicly available to view on the PlanetBids site.General work description: Remove existing HVAC units and furnish and install new high efficiency units.The work that is the subject of this bid is a public work within the meaning of Chapter 1 (beginning with Section 1720) of Part 7 of Division 2 of the California Labor Code to which Section 1771 (Payment of Prevailing Wages) applies.Contractor license classification at the time of award must be Class A or Class C-20. Each subcontractor performing services under this Contract must perform services under Contractor’s direction and control unless the subcontractor is a licensed contractor performing work within the scope of its license.It is the policy of the U.S. Department of Transportation that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), as defined in 49 C.F.R. Part 26, are encouraged to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with federal funds. As a condition of federal grant assistance, SacRT has adopted a DBE program for SacRT's federally-funded contracts. Consequently, the DBE requirements of 49 C.F.R. Part 26 apply to this contract. No DBE goal has been established for this Contract. However, if subcontracting opportunities exist for the work required for this Contract, Bidders/Proposers must ensure that DBEs have the opportunity to participate in the performance of this Contract.
