    City of Norcross Department of Public Works NORCROSS GREENWAY - LCI SHARED USE PATH ENHANCEMENT City of Norcross (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Norcross Greenway – LCI Shared Use Path Enhancement P.I. NO. 0016067 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Norcross Public Works located at 345 Lively Avenue, Norcross, GA 30071 until June 17, 2026, 2:00 P.M at local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: The project consists of approximately 3.3 miles of shared-use path beginning southeast of Buford Highway/US23/SR13 on S. Cemetery Street and ending near Pinnacle Way. The trail includes a combination of various on-street and off-street segments including the roadway segments along the northern shoulder of Mitchell Road from Price Place to approximately 600 feet southeast of Station Circle, the western shoulder of Pinnacle Way from Brook Hollow Parkway to Beaver Ruin Road/SR 378, and along the southern shoulder of Price Place from Mitchell Road Beaver Ruin Road/SR 378. The undeveloped section of the Shared-Use path will include two bridges and boardwalk sections. This section extends from Mitchell Road to the existing Pinnacle Park Shared-Use path. Obtaining the Bidding Documents The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: City of Norcross 345 Lively Avenue, Norcross, GA 30071 Contact Email: procurement@norcrossga.net Performance and Payment Bonds are required per Georgia Department of Transportation Section 103.05. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 calendar days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders submitting a bid $2,000,000 or less must be either a prequalified contractor or a registered subcontractor with Georgia Department of Transportation. Bidders submitting bids in excess of $2,000,000 must be prequalified with Georgia Department of Transportation. A pre-bid conference will be held at City of Norcross Public Works (345 Lively Avenue, Norcross, GA 30071) on May 29, 2026, at 2:00pm. If the Contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest reliable bidder whose proposal shall have met all the prescribed requirements. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 730 calendar days. Owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor's Applications for Payment submitted once per month as provided in the General Conditions. The DBE goal for this project is 0%. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition, and applicable special provisions and supplemental specifications apply to the contract. The City of Norcross in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d—42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21, Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
