Q (Structure vandalism): Beyond graffiti and normal wear and tear, who pays for damage and vandalism?
A: The Town will require the selected vendor to carry insurance for the duration of this contract. Any damage or vandalism should be covered by vendors insurance.
Q (On call pricing): I see a line item for on call service at an hourly rate. Is that door to door? If so it could have many interpretations. I would suggestion to add a line item for a single additional service of the trailer with a 24 hour completion time.
A: Please see Addendum 1.
Q (Additional units): Please clarify what you're looking for in additional units and how long the rental would be. i.e get a cost for standard toilet, ADA toilet and dual sided sink, for both a week and a monthly rental, that includes delivery. This gives you structured price options to fit your needs.
A: Please see Addendum 1.
Q (Electrical ): Can the city provide secured power to the trailer?
A: The Town can provide a location to plug in for power.
Q (Night Security): With the thought of preventing vandalism and move in, will the trailer be locked at night?
A: Per the scope of work the Town would like a trailer with an electronic lock so that the restroom locks overnight.
Q (Additional options): After going to the site visit, I can see were other options may be advantageous to the space, need and budget. Would you be open to other proposals along side the two requested options?
A: Yes, the Town will consider other options alongside the requested options.
Q (Sign in sheet): Do you have a sign in sheet from the prebid meeting?
A: Yes. Please see notice that is posted.
Q (General Requirements - ADA, Trailer-mounted, or Restroom Trailer (1 of 2)): Will the town want a portable restroom trailer or a trailer mounted unit (i.e., a trailer to attach to a truck and move onsite)? The trailer mounted units are only plastic. Will the town accept?
A: The Town would like a portable restroom trailer.
Q (General Requirements - ADA, Trailer-mounted, or Restroom Trailer (2 of 2)): Will the town want a portable restroom trailer or a trailer mounted unit (i.e., a trailer to attach to a truck and move onsite)? The trailer mounted units are only plastic. Will the town accept?
A: The Town would like a portable restroom trailer.
Q (General Requirements - Handwashing Station (1 of 2)): ADA units do not have interior-mounted handwashing stations. If we add a handwashing station within the unit, it will no longer be ADA compliant. Will the Town accept an exterior sink for ADA units?
A: Yes.
Q (General Requirements - Handwashing Station (2 of 2)): It is not industry standard to provide potable (i.e., drinkable) water as this requires a specialized permit. Will the Town accept non-potable water?
A: Yes, the Town will accept non-potable water.
Q (Servicing and Maintenance): Due to routine scheduling, it will be difficult to service between 7am to 8am each service day. Will the Town amend this section to read "7am to 12pm" each service day?
A: Please see Addendum 1.
Q (Pre-Bid Mandatory Conference): It is well noted that the pre-bid conference was a mandatory requirement and failure to attend will disqualify the absent vendor. However, we decided to ask the question - would the Town reconsider accepting a bid from a vendor that did not attend?
A: The Town will not accept bids from contractors that did not come to the pre-bid meeting.
