    The City of Traverse City is inviting qualified consultants to submit proposals for the preliminary design of utility replacements and street reconstruction on portions of Boardman Ave., Washington St., Cass St., State St., and a public alleyway (approximately 4,000 LF). See Attachment A for the project area map, which also illustrates the water main and sanitary sewer mains that will be replaced with this project. Services are to include but are not limited to: topographic surveying including existing utilities, environmental investigations and reports, public engagement, conceptual alternatives analysis, preliminary design and construction cost estimates. Cover letter including firm name, any subconsultants, and introduction stating interest in the contract. Please acknowledge receipt of any addendums posted relative to this RFP. 2. Firm’s qualifications relative to the requested services and qualifications of staff to be assigned to this project. Describe where personnel will be physically located while they are engaged in work for the City. Include a statement of work breakdown by lead firm and subconsultants (if any), and availability of staff. 3. Examples of experience with similar projects. Include at least five past projects, completed in the past five years that show the firm’s relevant experience and how critical issues were addressed. Include references for each project. 4. Firm’s approach to the project including identification of critical issues, and proposed project schedule to complete preliminary design. 5. Public outreach and participation plan – please include the firm’s plan for public outreach, meetings, surveys, etc. 6.
