    Description

    The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is soliciting professional engineering services to prepare a series of Vulnerable Road User (VRU) Road Safety Audits (RSA) per HSIP nomination 25HN01 Vulnerable Road User Road Safety Audit (VRUSA) Program. This procurement will: (25HN01) Conduct VRU Road Safety Audits at each location identified in the VRUSA as a High-Injury Corridor or Intersection. A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately September 2026 through December 2027 .  Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $2,000,000 to $4,999,999. The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available July 28, 2026 , and may be downloaded from our web site at: https://dot.alaska.gov/procurement/awp/awp-rfp-cal.cfm Or the RFP may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at the Engineering Services Building, Room 3, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, Alaska.  People residing outside the City of Fairbanks may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 451-2247 or TDD number 711 or 1-800-770-8973. (for Hearing Impaired, requires special equipment).  There is no charge for the RFP package. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN THE RFP FOR SUBMITTING PROPOSALS: Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received at the address indicated on the RFP no later than August 19, 2026 , 4:00 p.m., prevailing time. The Northern Region Contracts Section will accept electronic (Zendto) submission of proposals. *The ZendTo link is: https://drop.state.ak.us/drop/ *Select Drop-off and follow the instructions. *Email to dotnr.psa@alaska.gov . *Received files will be downloaded but not opened until after the submittal deadline passes. The proposals may still be dropped off at our office.  A locked Drop Box is located at the outside entry of the Tech Services Building #3 (Contracts Building Main Parking Lot West Side Entrance).  Call or Text (907) 799-5632 when you place documents in the Drop Box and we will retrieve and timestamp your documents.
