The City is seeking a responsible vendor to provide collection, transportation, and recycling of scrap water meters from Norfolk Utilities Combined Operations facility on a monthly rotational basis and/or on an as-needed basis. All qualified bidders are invited to respond to this Invitation for Bid ("IFB") by submitting a bid consistent with the terms, conditions, and specifications stated herein.

  The City of Norfolk is seeking a responsible vendor to provide Scrap Metal Collection Services according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation.

Submission Requirements

• BIDDER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (required) —

  Bidders shall provide evidence of five (5) years of successful collecting and recycling of scrap metal. Bidders shall provide a list of two (2) references for whom scrap metal collection has been completed in last five (5) years. One of the two references must be a local, state or federal government entity.

  References must include:

  1. Name of firm and its address
  2. Description of services
  3. Length of time services have been provided
  4. Name and title of contact
  5. Current phone number, and email address of the contact
