The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from innovative engineering consulting firms for On-Call Bridge Engineering Services in support of the San Joaquin County Highway Bridge Program and local Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program. SJCDPW may also elect to extend the period for new project assignments to a third year. Duration, scope, and scheduling of services will vary with specific project assignments. At the time of project assignment, County will enter into a project specific Independent Consultant Agreement (Agreement). The amount of work for each project specific Agreement will be varied but will not exceed $200,000 annually per consultant. The method of payment for task orders under the On Call Agreement will be actual cost plus fixed fee. The deadline for submitting qualifications to SJCDPW will be no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026. SJCDPW’s standard business practice strives to ensure that a consultant’s professional qualifications meet the needs and services to be performed, the payment method is appropriate, and the cost is fair and reasonable to the public agency. The specific requirements set forth in SJCDPW-RFQ-26-01 should be closely examined and followed by those consultant firms interested in submitting statements of qualifications.
