    Description

For many years, the City of Dublin (the “City”) coordinated alcohol sales and worked with individual and community group volunteers to staff the beverage booths at City events and festivals. However, as special events best practices have changed, the City shifted in 2015 to having a third party assume all responsibility for alcoholic beverage operations at City events. This Request for Applications is specific to managing and operating an alcoholic beverage booth at the Summer Concert Series at Emerald Glen Park. Additional events may be added in the future. Currently, an existing agreement, running through June 2025, is in place for the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration and Splatter Festival. These two events are not being considered as part of this Request for Applications. City residents have enjoyed beer and wine at monthly concerts at the Farmers’ Market since it began in 2011. With the opening of the Emerald Glen Amphitheater in 2017, the Summer Concert series has continued to grow, with an average attendance exceeding 1,500 attendees. Managing alcoholic beverage operations is a unique and potentially lucrative fundraising and publicity opportunity for the right organization. The City will prominently recognize the Beverage Operator in signage and advertising. After settling its expenses, including the City booth space rental fee, the Beverage Operator retains all profits. Nonprofit organizations selected as Beverage Operators for past special events should not assume any Commitment on the City’s part to award future Beverage Operations to them.
