The Consultant shall prepare one (1) set of designdocuments for the Pilot Facility and a one (1) set of design documents for the Learning Center, allowing for two (2) separate construction bids, as reflected in the Project schedule.The design services for the Pilot Facility shall include up to a 200 gallon per minute (gpm) pilot treatment facility installed at an outdoor area on the existing Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center (SVAWPC) site. The Pilot Facility shall be designed to comply with DPR regulations and Valley Water-provided validation protocol plans and documents. The Pilot Facility will allow Valley Water to perform DPR data gathering andvalidation testing for future project permitting.The design services for the Learning Center shall include up to a 10,000-square-foot, LEED-certified, learning center building(s) for education and public outreach to be located on an undeveloped 2-acre site adjacent to SVAWPC. Work shall also includerelocation of the Pilot Facility treatment components within the Learning Center building and new purified water tasting stations after Valley Water completes the pilot testing phase in accordance with the Project schedule.Upon publication of the RFP on or before August 6, 2025, registered firms will be notified that the RFP is viewable and downloadable.
