This notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Mariposa will receive sealed bids for the West Whitlock, Jerseydale, and Wawona Storm Repair Project. The Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to repair 5 locations: Schedule A: W. Whitlock Road Headwall Schedule B: Jerseydale Roadway Base Repairs Schedule C: Jerseydale Road Embankment Repair Schedule D: Jerseydale Double 48” RCP Schedule E: Wawona Single 48” RCP Contract documents are available for review at 4639 Ben Hur Rd. Mariposa, CA 95338 and may be downloaded from www.mariposacounty.org/Bids.aspx. Sealed Bids will be received until 2 p.m., August 24, 2023, at the Public Works Office, at or after which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. All bids shall be on the form provided by the County to be responsive. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: A-General Engineering. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, (“DIR”) for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of Owner, pursuant to sections 1770, et seq. of the California Labor Code. Mariposa County affirms that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 14 @ 3pm at the Public Works Dept Offices. Engineers Estimate is $900,000. 60 Working Days. $500/calendar day liquidated damages. This project is subject to the "Buy America" provisions of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act Of 1982 as amended by the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act Of 1991.
