The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland intends to issue a sole source contract to RHP Operations GP LLC Doing Business As Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center to provide conference/meeting space, overnight guest rooms, and food/beverages for the 2025 Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS). The requirement is in support of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), Fort Detrick, Maryland. This notice of intent to issue a sole source award to Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center is in compliance to the Army Regulation 1-50 - Army Conference Policy and the resulting approval letter, signed by Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, approving Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center to provide the conference/meeting space, overnight guest rooms, and food/beverages for the 2025 MHSRS. The proposed contract action is for the services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR citation is 6.302-1(a)(2) when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), USAMRAA intends to award a sole source contract to Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center under NAICS code 721110; PSC: V231. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide services outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within 5 days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services through a sole source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
