    Description

    The Contractor will replace the hydraulic in-ground jack elevator system with a new, similar system adhering to ASME A17.1 safety standard for Building 10, the three-story building located on the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) O.D. Heck campus, 500 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304 for Capital District DDSOO. Work is to be completed within 160 days of contract approval. Any delay in the ability to complete services within 160 days due to weather, lead times, or for any other reason, must be communicated to and agreed upon by OPWDD and the Contractor. Refer to the following Detailed Specifications for the scope of work. Upon completion of project, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, the contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent or designee. The Contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to the scope of work. This is a NYS Public Works project, and prevailing wages are to be paid, and Certified Payrolls must be submitted at time of completion. All potential Bidders MUST attend the scheduled Mandatory Site Visit if they wish to submit a bid. See below for specific instructions for the Mandatory Site Visit. The Mandatory Site Visit for Capital District DDSOO O. D. Heck Building 10 will begin at 500 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304 where Bidders will meet OPWDD Work Control Representative or designee. The site visit is scheduled for April 22, 2026, at 1:00PM. Please note that definitive answers related to any questions asked during the Mandatory Site Visit will be provided in the Official Responses to Questions. OPWDD will make no allowance or concession to the Bidder for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quality, character, location, or other conditions. It is the responsiblity of the bidder to know the site's requirements based upon the service being requested.
