Q (No subject): When was the County's last classification and compensation study conducted, if any, and what firm completed it?
A: The most recent classification and compensation studies have been conducted by the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC). In 2024, the PTRC conducted a market analysis and made recommendations for appropriate position grades.
Q (No subject): Does the County expect the selected consultant to update job descriptions for all classifications, or only where revisions are recommended during the position analysis?
A: The selected consultant should provide job description recommendations, if applicable, if the job analysis process generates suggested changes. A full rewrite of the County's job descriptions is not within the scope of this project.
Q (No subject): Does the County anticipate the use of Job Profile Questionnaires or other job analysis tools to gather information?
A: Yes. The County is open to the most appropriate tool(s) recommended by the selected consultant.
Q (Follow Up from Previous RFP in Dec 2025): Hello, I inquired about the previous recent Compensation related RFP that we submitted from Catapult in Dec 2025. The RFP was similar to this one. Can you give feedback on what occurred between the last RFP vs. this current and why a new one is now needed? Separate question, what information is needed or insight was missing from the Catapult submittal that is necessary for this one?
A: In late 2025, the County solicited proposals for an overhaul of our employee performance evaluation system, which is a separate project from this classification and compensation study.
Q (No subject): Has the County established a budget or anticipated cost range for this project?
A: There is no specific cost range at this time. The County is seeking the most competitive price to fulfill the project requirements.
