Introducing the New SamSearch: The Operating System for Government Contracting

Company NewsSamSearchAnnouncementTechnologyHumam HawaraAugust 10, 20265 min read

We started SamSearch to solve one problem: government solicitations are scattered across thousands of portals, and finding the ones worth your time takes hours a good search engine should save you. That's still true, and it's still the front door for most people who meet us. But we didn't stop there. Over the years since, we kept building in response to what customers actually needed next after search — capture, RFP analysis, a real pipeline, proposal generation, and eventually financing for the award itself. Piece by piece, we became the system a lot of our customers now run their entire GovCon operation on.

So we rebranded — a site that actually explains everything the platform does, organized around how contracts get won instead of the order we happened to ship features in. Today it's live, and I want to walk through what changed.

Six stages of the GovCon operating system

We now organize SamSearch around six stages that map to how contracts are actually won, not how software vendors usually slice the market:

The six SamSearch stages, arranged in a cycle: Influence, Capture, Analyze, Manage, Respond, and Finance

    • 01 · Influence — Shape the requirement before it's on your competitor's radar. Incumbent profiles, offer counts, competition and turnover rates, and analyst-verified re-solicitation windows instead of guesses about when a recompete is coming.
    • 02 · Capture — An AI capture team that reads every notice, not just the title. Coverage spans federal, DIBBS, state and local, Canada, subcontracting, SBIR, grants, and GSA eBuy, and every opportunity is graded against your company profile and past performance, not a raw keyword match.
    • 03 · Analyze — Requirements extracted straight from the SOW, mapped to Section L and M, with a working compliance matrix instead of one you rebuild by hand — every extraction cited back to its page in the source document.
    • 04 · Manage — A GovCon-native pipeline in JourneyHub: stages, tasks, shared document rooms, and two-way sync to whatever CRM your team already runs.
    • 05 · Respond — The full bid package, not just the technical volume — proposal drafting, form filling, and supporting documents, grounded in your own approved content and past performance, with a person reviewing before anything goes out.
    • 06 · Finance — When an award lands, SamSearch flags the working-capital gap and introduces financing partners who underwrite against the awarded contract itself, not your balance sheet, for up to $50M in capital, so cash flow doesn't cap your growth the moment you win.

None of these are six separate products bolted together — they're one platform, built up over time, where the same AI agents carry context from one stage to the next. What we changed with the rebrand is laying that out clearly instead of leaving customers to discover the rest of the platform by accident.

Built for scale, without losing the analyst

Coverage spans over 15,000 procurement portals — about 13,000 of them state, local, and education — reaching more than 50,000 buying agencies, alongside federal, DIBBS, Canadian, subcontracting, SBIR, and grant sources. That scale only matters if the signal survives the noise, which is why every AI recommendation is graded against your specific NAICS and PSC codes, set-asides, and past performance, and our analyst desk verifies re-solicitation timing rather than letting an algorithm guess.

It's already showing up in how our customers work:

    • Exquadrum, an AS9100 and ITAR aerospace contractor, uses SamSearch to screen candidate solicitations against a specialized defense profile — 25,489 screened down to 6,969 shortlisted — on the way to $37.5M across 28 federal awards with DARPA, Navy, MDA, and AFRL.
    • Ombra tracks its full federal award history in SamSearch, from early SBIR Phase I work through a position on the Missile Defense Agency's $151B SHIELD IDIQ.

    Our commitment to compliance

Compliance isn't an afterthought bolted on for the rebrand — it's something we hold ourselves to every day. SamSearch is SOC 2 Type II with independently audited controls, CMMC Level 2 alignment is underway, and every workspace supports SAML 2.0 single sign-on, U.S.-only hosting, and independent penetration testing. Your library grounds your own drafts and nothing else — it's never used to train shared models, and never sold.

SamSearch also plugs into the stack larger teams already run — Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Slack, Teams, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace — so pipeline and alerts show up where your team already works instead of asking them to adopt one more tab. And onboarding is white-glove: one SamSearch expert, accountable from a live workspace on day one through a tuned pipeline running in production by the end of week one. That's a different promise than "sign up and start searching," and it's a deliberate one.

    Still SamSearch, still building

We're still SamSearch, still the same team, and every current customer's workflow stays exactly as it is today. We're not slowing down — we're still shipping the way we always have. What changed is that the story finally matches the platform, so the next contractor who meets us knows what SamSearch actually is before they ever get on a call with us.

If you're a current customer, log in and everything works exactly as it did — you'll just find the rest of what you already have easier to see. If you're not yet, book a demo and we'll show you the whole pipeline, not just search.

Thank you to every customer who sat through a call, filed a support ticket, sent us a feature request, or told us what wasn't working. This is the platform those conversations built — we just finally told the story right.
