NASA’s Artemis III to Test Blue Moon and Starship Lander Operations
NASA plans a 2027, 14-day Artemis III mission in low Earth orbit to test crewed rendezvous, docking, habitation, and operational procedures with Blue Origin’s Blue Moon Mark 2 and SpaceX’s Starship human-landing-system test articles. The integration milestone is intended to reduce risk ahead of planned lunar operations in 2028; NASA announced no new solicitation, contract value, or procurement contact.
