      Tips for Winning SDVOSBC Contracts

Practical strategies for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside (FAR 19.14) businesses competing in federal contracting.

      • 1Apply for SBA VetCert verification early—it can take several months and is required to represent SDVOSB status on federal contracts.
      • 2The government has a 3% SDVOSB spending goal—agencies actively seek SDVOSB firms to meet their targets, so BD outreach pays dividends.
      • 3SDVOSB set-asides require competition of at least two firms; sole-source authority (SDVOSBS) applies when only one capable firm exists.
