      About Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business

      SDVOSB Sole Source contracts allow federal agencies to award contracts directly to a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business without competitive bidding. This authority under FAR 19.14 is available when market research shows that only one SDVOSB firm is reasonably available to perform the work, the contract value is within the statutory thresholds, and the price is fair and reasonable.

      Eligibility Requirements

      • Must be SBA-verified through the VetCert program as an SDVOSB
      • Contract value ≤ $4.5M for manufacturing, ≤ $7M for all other contracts
      • Contracting officer must determine that only one SDVOSB is capable of performing the work
      • Price must be determined fair and reasonable through negotiation
      • Award must be in the best interest of the federal government
